SOLVED Asset/Course - Game Publish to Android & App Store
Even though the subject Topic is not related to SIS & any other assets, I don't see where to convey the message to you.
I am an Indie Game Developer. I would like to know whether you are interested to make an Asset/Course to show in detail:
- How to Publish Games from Unity to Google Play Store and App Store.
- Updating Games after first release on Google Play Store and App Store without loosing player data's.
Indie Game developers like me will need to understand better above details for successful launching of their Games and further updates release.
I didn't find any proper course which can guide us properly. There are great Assets available at Unity Asset Store but subject Course/Asset is missing.
So I thought of seeking your help to know whether you are interested to make such a course.
As a first user, I am ready to buy such a course/asset immediately . I am thinking that other Indie Game Developers too search a lot for such Game launching information's.
The reason I am asking you is that for all the assets you are making an updates, for this requirement also needs time to time updates.
- You have the complete SIS and complete Game "Tanks Multiplayer"
I hope you can make a good course to show us how to publish Games step by step procedure.
I know there are some you tube videos available which shows some information.
I greatly believe that subject Course will be a value added asset for all the Indie Game developers like me.
thank you very much for your confidence in me, and for thinking that I would be able to create a useful course for other developers ;)
The issue is my time - with the existing assets and support, currently I am not able to dedicate more time to new projects. In the next few months, there will be a new member in the family too, so that's what will require a greater portion of my time as well. That's also why I did not agree to any client work in the past, or future.
How to Publish Games from Unity to Google Play Store and App Store.
I get the impression that this topic is really well-covered in existing tutorials out there. I mean, with an APK or bundle created with Unity, basically for releasing on Google Play one has to only follow Google's dashboard checklist from top to bottom. Everyone can release games on Google Play or the App Store - the difficult part is creating a great code base for the game, which is easy to maintain and extend.
Updating Games after first release on Google Play Store and App Store without loosing player data's.
Player do not lose their data right away on updates - again, the important part is to have a great foundation to build on. For example, it is a common approach to use JSON for storing user progress, because you can add more data without breaking other sections. If you are still concerned about player's losing data, implementing cloud storage would work as well (e.g. using PlayFab), where you could quickly react to issues and provide support.
There are hundreds of small things that should be considered when developing a game, depending on the target audience and scale. This is something you would automatically learn after several iterations of releasing games and spending a lot of time programming. I am working with Unity for nearly 10 years now - but I would not be able to pack these years into a course.
Thanks again for your interest and idea.
Thank you very much for your reply and detailed information.
I can understand your position, Time is a big asset needs to utilize carefully to balance both professional work & personnel life. My heartly Congratulations for your new family member.
